A river with no current.
Going nowhere.
If you looked very closely, you would see that the river is made of many, many distinct drops of water.
Each unique in it's own way.
But which is real, the river, or the drops?
The drops are one and the same with the river.
Just as you are one and the same as the Universe.
One cannot exist without the other.
If even one element is missing, all is fundamentally changed.
This means that I cannot exist without you.
This means that you cannot exist without me.
All that you see, and all that you'll be.
So nothing can be destroyed.
It can only be reborn.
Who am I?
I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself.
A beautiful Japanese maiden makes her form clear to you, playing the koto with nimble fingers.
Some call me the Oracle, but that isn't entirely true.
I am the spirit of Rebirth.
A tall Arabian man with curly hair moved next to her, looking straight into your eyes.
Some call me Wepwawet, but that isn't entirely true.
I am the spirit of Destruction.
Yet I and Rebirth are one and the same.
Just as the river cannot exist without the drops, or the drops without the river.
Just as the Universe cannot exist without you, and you cannot exist without the Universe.
Just as I cannot exist without you.
Just as you cannot exist without me.
One cannot have Destruction,
Without Rebirth.
This world is overflowing with Sadness.
It's people are drowning in Emptiness.
And Loneliness fills their hearts.
They fill those hollow spaces with violence, fantasies of heroism, or illusions of grandeur.
They believe that they can coexist with others, or even apart from others all together.
But the truth is, people must be with one another.
And when they are near one another, all they cause is Pain.
That is the rule that this world abides by.
But Sadness and Happiness are one and the same.
Emptiness and Meaning are one and the same.
Loneliness and Togetherness are one and the same.
Pain and Pleasure are one and the same.
One cannot exist without the other.
In the absence of one, all is fundamentally changed.
That is why we must learn to accept Sadness.
To accept Emptiness.
To accept Loneliness.
To accept Pain.
Once we have accepted those, all will follow.
Once we have experienced Death,
We may experience Rebirth.
So here is the question.
What is your perfect world?
What will your Rebirth look like?
Can you accept Sadness, Emptiness, Loneliness, and Pain?
Will you allow Happiness, Meaning, Togetherness, and Pleasure?
What is it that resides within your heart?
Is your Love Destructive?
Or will your Love have you be Reborn?
