Personality: Most of the time, Sage is pretty chill and relaxed, but he has habit of being fairly blunt with his words and that can be too much for some people. Despite his bluntness, he mostly tries to keep a cool demeanor in order to avoid conflict as he prefers to stay out of fights. But trouble has tendency of following him. Often he will saying something snarky to the wrong person, or someone will overhear a judgemental comment he says and will get violent about...thankfully Sage can handle his own. However, he himself can mostly shrug off insults and will not press them even if they manage to pierce him to avoid making trouble for himself.
One crucial aspect of his personality most pick up on immediately is that he is not shy and is in fact quite the opposite. More than just being a gregarious person, he is very much a bragger when it comes to the latest trends. If he has the new "in" look, or the new hit record, he will make sure that you know about it. Perhaps the way he bombards people in conversation is the reason is stand manifested as an over-the-top machine gun.
Sage is also one who likes to surround himself with others, preferring to hold a large circle of friends. This is not only to show off and make himself the center of attention as if anyone fucks with his buddies, they're fucking with him and he'll let them know.
History: Born the son of a tailor, Sage became exposed to fashion trends from a young age and aspired to one day take over the family business. However as he grew older, this trend towards what was "in" at the time began to extend towards music with a keen interest in the growth of jazz and blues as well the growth of ska and reggae from the Jamaican community. In his spare time, he mostly helped out with the shop and made a little bit of pocket money doing it, spending most of his money on records and trendy new clothing. It was around the age of 14 that he gave up his ambition to take over the business and instead wanted to rise to stardom as a famous singer. With his family's good standing in their business, they were able to afford private tuition for Sage.
As he progressed through his teenage years, he faced a great deal of hostility toward his ambition from those who judged him by his race and others who though his dreams were childish. This was especially apparent within his own family who were increasingly disappointed in his refusal to carry on the business to the point that he was eventually fed up with their disdain at the age of 17 and decided to move out with barely a penny to his name. However, he persevered onward with his stubbornness preventing him returning home to grovel for forgiveness. No, he was determined to make something off himself, to see his name on a record.
At 19, his stand began to manifest as a light machine gun covered in trendy bling that he could certainly dig. Unsurprisingly, Sage at first was quite horrified at what had materialized before him and even tried to turn it into the police, who could not see what he was holding. Because of this, it didn't take long for Sage to realise that nobody but him could see or even hear this weapon, learning of its matter ripping ability which he used to get himself out of sticky situations. While it is a gun, Sage has no idea how powerful it is at this time as he is yet to actually kill anything with it.
Later in the same year, Sage was hired as a bouncer at a jazz club in town for 3 months until one of the singers fell ill and Sage was asked to fill in for him as an emergency. However, he dazzled the club's patrons, receiving a great deal of applause with some even throwing cash up to him. Needless to say, this impressed management enough to take him up as a permanent singer along with a modest pay rise and he saw this a small stepping stone to stardom.
While he has managed to maintain this job for the last 3 years, Sage has started to feel that it isn't going anyway or helping him move toward his dream. That's not to say that he hasn't been enjoying his job, but he began to notice that his prospects didn't seem to be increasing. To add to his problems, he's been troubled by the strange ability that he has acquired and is desperate to find out more about it to make sure he isn't going crazy.
