Name: Guy “Bo” Baudin
Age: 22
Country of birth: America
Country of residence: Mars colony
Languages Spoken: English
Personality: Soft spoken and kind, Guy does his best to get along with everyone even at the risk of seeming bland. He values manners, and does his best to stay optimistic even when he’s not feeling it. Guy possesses an inquisitive mind (hence his career choice as a journalist), searching for a deeper understanding of people; partly studying them so he can blend in better, be more readily accepted. Guy isn’t necessarily loyal in a sense of duty, but rather would do anything for a friend as long as it meant maintaining that association. Though one would be hard pressed to tell at face value, Guy is a rather insecure young man, and values himself based on other’s appreciation for him. He’s patient, and prefers to take a more methodic approach to situations or problems, really drawing on whatever he can. Of course, even a patient man has his limits. If pushed too far, Guy snaps, and Guy snaps hard. Barely restrained anger coalesces with fine manners and nearly whispered words for an unsettling sight. Such an outburst usually leaves Guy upset, regretting his actions and wishing he could have solved things more professionally.
History:
Growing up, Guy was fascinated by people. They mystified and astounded him, and he craved all the knowledge he could about anyone around him. A sad fate for a child with a home life like his. An only child in a working family, he scarcely saw his parents. Even when they were around, he was ignored. School brought a some solace, but not terribly much. Guy set himself apart, he knew he wasn’t like his classmates. The little black cosmonaut that crawled up out of his shadow walled him away. The boy was smart, studious, and he knew well what that spaceman was. What it meant for him. And so he hid it away. His power, born from a desire of connection, drove him apart and his fragile self worth shrank all the while.
Over time, Guy eventually forgot what made him different. He was only a child when spaceman made itself known, and the boy kept it locked away. In time, Guy found himself able to come close to others, but didn’t escape his childhood untouched. Such loneliness is hard to shake. All the same, he did his best, and chased after his desires. Graduating from New York university with majors in journalism and English, Guy found his life where he wanted it… Until the spaceman returned. Guy doesn’t like to talk about what happened, but he is forthright in the fact that he immediately turned himself in. The young man was destroyed for a time, deeply depressed as he awaited deportation. Yet, gradually, he found his thoughts shifting. Mars was a prison, sure, but it was one for people like him. Maybe up there, he could find a place to belong.
Notable Skills: Guy possesses an impressive short term memory, able to memorize upwards of entire conversations or the order of a card deck, though not for particularly long. Naturally inquisitive, Guy has a knack for tracking down info and learning about anything that catches his interest.
Notable Weaknesses: Guy is insecure, almost to a crippling point. All his self worth is found in how others think of him, and though he masks his insecurities well, he practically needs to be praised and appreciated. In addition, Guy can’t fight for shit, and usually has to rely on his Stand in combat.
Important Items: Star shaped hair clip, was the last thing he purchased on Earth; it reminds him of home. His journal contains a record of important events, and Guy finds it handy to write down whatever he finds helpful.
Appearance: Guy stands at 5’11”, carrying a slender frame at only 142 pounds. His shoulder length hair flows in ash brown waves about his head, providing him with nearly a mane. Light amber eyes shine around a tall roman nose, dusted by freckles upon tanned skin. Guy’s right ear is pierced by a gold bar in the upper cartilage, and a small gold ring in his earlobe. He wears an assortment of clothing, but is rather fond of a good pair of jeans, a pastel t-shirt, and a sky blue oxford atop that. Finally, he keeps his hair up out of his face with his pin and is rarely, if ever, seen without it.
Stand:「Blackstar」
Ability:
Act 1 - By touching two objects, Blackstar creates a gravitational attraction equal to half earth gravity between the objects. Subsequent touches to either object increase the force by half earth gravity per touch. E.G. Four punches = twice earth’s gravity in terms of force. Blackstar can create five of these bonds.
Act 2 - By clasping its hands together and drawing them apart, Blackstar creates gravity wells of force up to as strong as a black hole. It can leave these floating in place, or throw them like a baseball at speeds of up to 75 km/h. However, the gravity wells dissipate after getting more than 10 meters away from the user. Furthermore, as long as Blackstar is between a person or object and the gravity well, that entity will not be affected by it.
Type: Evolved Stand
Power: (Act 1 - D) (Act 3 - A)
Speed: (Act 1 - C) (Act 3 - B)
Range: (Act 1 - C, 30 meters) (Act 3 - D, 2 meters)
Durability: (Act 1 - D) (Act 3 - D)
Precision: (Act 1 - D) (Act 3 - B)
Learning: (Act 1 - A) (Act 3 - D)
Appearance:
Act 1 - Manifesting as a small astronaut, Blackstar stands at just under three feet tall in this form. The visor of its helmet is a mirror-like silver, leaving its face obscured. The cloth of its suit is a matte black, and the various buttons and dials are a deep silver.
Act 2 - Allowed to grow, Blackstar flourishes to a full six feet in height. It sheds its spacesuit for a slim fitting, flowing garment with coattails to its ankles and a collar that rises around its head. Its helmet is still present, and mirrored off as ever. From its collar flows a white cravat, matching the pearly gloves upon its hands.
Mech: Space Oddity
Length: 10 meters
Firepower: E
Accuracy: D
Melee: A
Speed: C
Maneuverability: B
Durability: B
Appearance: Space Oddity is a stocky humanoid figure that typically goes on all fours on the ground. Four flat “tendrils” extend from around its chest, dancing in the air behind it.
Weapons and Abilities:
Gyroscopes: A gyroscope in each hand, foot, and in its chest allow Space Oddity to perform highly responsive acrobatics in zero gravity environments.
Repulsors: Set in its fists, these brass knuckle like devices project a potent gravitational field when striking an object, applying impressive force to it. Furthermore, they push Space Oddity back, and can be used to bounce off of walls or foes.
Whips: The edges of Space Oddity’s tendrils are quite sharp, and can be used to slash at and strike foes in melee range. Furthermore, they can be used to grab and hold onto objects, or to even swing from them.
Stand Burst:
Space Oddity’s whips become channelers of gravitational waves, fluctuating in force rapidly enough to not disturb objects that aren’t touching them. However, this effect is two fold. The gravitational field lenses light around Space Oddity, rendering it nearly invisible save for a faint distortion effect. Furthermore, objects that touch the tendrils are vibrated at high speeds with enough force to shake them apart.
