[PTab=Chapter 1]
In the small town of Fallbrook, USA, a mythical creature is hailed as its guardian spirit and mascot: Mothman. This half-man half-moth creature is described as one of pure fantasy, but despite that is the pride and joy of the town, constantly advertised inside of it. During a Mothman themed Carnival in April, a group of particular people with strange powers called "Stand users" are drawn to that place. Suddenly, perhaps due to fate, a pillar of light emerges out of nowhere, surprising the group. As the light appears, the group suddenly hear news about the local asylum having had a breakout, various mentally ill people having already escaped. It then disappears as the local authorities finally show up, featuring two mysterious men: Police chief Domenico Dolce and officer Mike Millis.
Dolce tells the Stand users that they have seen something extraordinary and that if they desire to understand what has happened, they need to meet him at the Fallbrook Police Station. However he also reveals that if they continue their investigation, their lives will certainly be at risk. Despite this, most of the group goes to the police station where Dolce shows them an ancient book and starts ranting about how the pillar of light was foretold in the book, describing a prophecy where Stand users would be united to fight against Mothman who planned to obliterate Fallbrook. While met with scrutiny, the sudden appearance of a strange creature in the office convinced the group that something was going on.
[PTab=Chapter 2]
Dolce divides the Stand users in groups and assigns them a task each to complete, most of them regarding inmates who have escaped from the asylum who might be in possess of strange abilities due to the nature of the breakout.
At the Fallbrook Asylum, one of the groups inspects the aftermath of the breakout and the murder of a doctor before discovering that the culprit was none other than one of the doctor's own patients who had suffered abuse from the victim. Despite the enemy Stand user using their Stand in effective ways and almost managing to incapacitate the group with a last ditch attack, they were eventually defeated while the asylum sustained a lot of structural damage. While outside the group also saw a terrifying beast standing on top of the asylum for a few seconds before it flew away.
Various pages describing various people have been found in Fallbrook recently, most of them ranging to downright stalker territory due to how detailed and accurate they are. Dolce sends a group to investigate and the group follows the trail to a house where they discover the culprit to be a shut-in Stand user who enjoys observing people. Due to their lack of mastery and control, the Stand user is easily incapacitated and arrested.
The last group is sent to explore a hotel that scared off workers trying to remodel it, blaming the presence of ghosts inside. While sounding incredibly stupid, it's revealed that the workers were indeed telling the truth as a ghost called Cai Lun is revealed to live inside. The ghost refuses to leave since it views the hotel as its home, but in the end it is forced to when various spirits of bugs attack him (and the group). After defeating the ghosts of bugs, Cai Lun gives the group a cryptic warning before disappearing and warning the group not to let humans enter the hotel.
Meanwhile as all of that happened, two mysterious figures discussed the current events in shadows.
[PTab=Chapter 3]
A week after the events of chapter 2, the group is again tasked by Dolce to solve several cases.
One of the groups is tasked with solving the mystery of a serial killer called the "Locomotive Breath". Said killer murders at least one passenger on the same train every month and the gang enters a train that fits that time period and tries to figure out who the murderer is before they get found out. Eventually the murderer strikes and amidst chaos and blood, they are finally unmasked and taken down by Kyu Sakamoto, despite the murderer having a strange ability called the "Spin". A strange humanoid creature called a "Softie" is also defeated, but it betrays the murderer and leaves peacefully. Mothman was also sighted, assaulting the Softie before mysteriously leaving.
Another group instead explores a mysterious house where a group of adolescents went missing. Upon arriving and having a small pizza party for fun (to most people's displeasure), they are suddenly attacked by Graham and Betty, two Stand users who attack anyone who enters their house. The perfect synergy with their abilities makes the fight challenging and frustrating for the group, who are forced to separate and deal with the threats in teams. Despite Betty's immense strength and resilience, the team of Ms (Marty, Mitch, Malygos, Michelle) are able to last against her long enough for the other group to deal the finishing blow to Graham. Due to Graham and Betty's relationship, Betty surrenders just so Graham can be okay.

[PTab=Chapter 4]
A few days after the events of chapter 3, Dolce calls the group yet again.
One team is sent to investigate a mysterious murder involving a sudden explosion in an office building. The victim received a photograph in a mail, which promptly exploded once they held it in their hand. After piecing clues together and deducing the existence of a Stand user behind the murder, the group is quickly attacked by said user, Pigeon John. Pigeon's Stand is quite threatening, able to turn anything he touches into a bomb that chases after whoever looks at it before exploding. Thankfully, a weakness is found and despite a tense hostage situation Pigeon is killed.
Strangely enough, one team never shows up. Dolce attempts to repeatedly contact the missing group, but fails. Turns out a Stand user had taken initiative and decided to attack some members of the squad. A particularly annoying Stand attaches itself to various Stand users, forcing them to go on a wild goose chase to find the user, who is the only one who can dispel the Stand's effect. After a strange and clumsy fight, the perpetrator is subdued and they are interrogated, revealing that someone asked them to target the group. The client is however unknown.
The last team is sent to investigate a seemingly haunted forest. Upon entering, they quickly discover that the rumors were true after being attacked by strange, otherworldly creatures. The group eventually finds the source of the strange activity: A weird, melancholic ghost that keeps telling them to leave. After defeating the ghost in a fierce battle, Mothman suddenly appears and somehow transports the group back in time, all the way to the 1920s. There they have a few more encounters with Mothman in the old police station where strange questions are asked and no answers are given. The group then finds out that they are in the period where the ghost's body "died". After preventing her death, they are sent back to the present and notice that the forest is no longer haunted.
[PTab=Chapter 5]
A week after the events of Chapter 4, Dolce asks for the group's aid yet again.
One team is sent to investigate a mysterious string of murders, all happening in different locations. The nature of the murders was also suspicious, since all of the victims were found with darkened faces that made them unrecognizable, even to most forensics methods. Upon realizing that these attacks were caused by a unique Stand that could steal "time" from people, all three groups were suddenly cornered by several Stand users hired by a third party, who were apparently after the killer as well. After defeating said Stand users, the group finally tracked down the murderer: An individual known as Com Truise. After subduing them, however, they were surprised as one of their own, Tan Lee, suddenly murdered the Com in cold blood. Tan was then arrested and brought to the police station for questioning...
Another group is tasked to get rid of some sort of infestation in the forests outside of Fallbrook. Reports of people being attacked by packs of wild wolves hinted at a mere case of wildlife spreading too far. Upon arriving there, however, the group realized that one of the wolves was a Stand user, capable of generating a pack of 30 mechanical wolves. The alpha wolf, known as Fenrir, started hunting down the group in a vicious chase. Thankfully, the Stand users managed to overwhelm the beast and finally slay it, albeit its presence might have kept away other, more dangerous Stand predators lurking in the deep recesses of Fallbrook's forest.
The last group is tasked to explore Fallbrook's abandoned district, where a thick blanket of fog has suddenly appeared and people near that area have been reported to have gone missing. Upon arriving there, the group realized that a ghost was behind the kidnappings. The ghost kidnapped one of their own before revealing that it had summoned a conglomerate of paranormal creatures in order to kidnap all of Fallbrook's citizens and turn them into a surrogate family. Upon defeating said creatures and approaching the ghost, the group rescued their missing member (Kyu) and then realized that the culprit was none other than the ghost of Kyu's sister. The two siblings made peace with each other as Kyu delivered the final blow, letting his sister rest once and for all.
[PTab=Chapter 6]
A day after Tan's arrest, Dolce immediately calls the Stand users with a panicked voice.
Tan has apparently broken out of jail and murdered 3 cops on his way out. After analyzing the scene of the crime, Mike suddenly contacts everyone on the following day and tells them to meet up at the nearest Dunkin Donuts. During the meeting, he reveals that Tan is most likely innocent and that the third party that has been meddling with their missions so far is most likely a traitor that is part of the group itself. Mike then outs the traitor as Marty, the latter admitting his sins and unleashing the true power of his Stand in front of the others. Marty's ability to copy other Stand abilities is too much for the group to handle, as he successfully destroys the Dunkin Donuts while the others are forced to retreat. The group returns to the station to lick their wounds, wondering about how to deal with Marty in the future.
A separate group is tasked with observing an underground boxing ring where a murder had recently occurred. Said murder was vicious and subhuman, with the victim being gruesomely twisted apart in the bathroom. The work of a Stand no doubt. Several of the group's members disguise themselves as boxers and enter the competition in order to find out who the murderer is. It is only at the end of the tournament that they figure out that the murderer was Mr. Merry, the ringleader of the tournament who killed the victim because i-don't-even-remember. After a tough fight, Merry is defeated, but Marty suddenly barges in and saves Merry at the last second, rendering the group's efforts fruitless as the murderer got away scot free.
[PTab=Chapter 7]
As the threat of Marty slowly approaches, the group decides to meet up at the police station, realizing that Dolce has gone missing and that they are the only one who can deliver justice to the traitor.
One group decides to investigate Marty's house, thinking that it might contain a hint on how to defeat him. The other group instead decides to join Marty's forces as moles, ready to backstab him the moment he lets down his guard. Meanwhile, Marty himself starts a cult around Fallbrook, recruiting more and more followers by convincing them that he's a God similar to Mothman through a display of his Stand powers. After realizing that his enemies have gone to his house to investigate him, Marty decides to show up there as well. He is greeted not only by the Stand users of the police force, but also the Stand users that he had used and manipulated in the last Chapters, everyone teaming up in order to get a crack at him. Unfortunately, Marty proves himself to be too strong as he subdues everyone with his overpowered Stand ability. With the entire crew defeated, Marty decides that it's time to enact the second step of his master plan: Taking over Fallbrook's police station. Thanks to the aid of Mr. Merry, he effortlessly gets rid of the officers at the station and makes it his new base of operations while also jailing those he defeated within. All looks bleak for our heroes...

[PTab=Chapter 8]
The final battle against Marty commences.
A jail break occurs the moment Marty leaves the police station, the defeated Stand users regaining their pride as they subdue numerous Stand users in the conquered police station before being subdued themselves by Mr. Merry's ability. Thankfully, friends from outside the station intervene as they manage to snap the captured Stand users out of Merry's trance. While all that happens, Monks managed to finally find the missing chief of police, Dolce. The latter suddenly attacks him for no reason, making him question whether or not Dolce was friend or foe. Unfortunately, Monks never gets an answer as Dolce seemingly commits suicide and disappears (dad is a hack). The Stand users then decide to make one final assault against Marty, being split into 3 groups as two handle Marty's enforcers while the remaining one handles Marty himself. A fight of epic (as if) proportions occurs as the winner has yet to be decided...

Oh no, how will SM recolver?! EDITION
It should come as no surprise to anyone that Fallbrook managed to survive the biggest, most awful, most tragic event in RP history known as 'WHY WOULDN'T THE THREADS FUCKING END???' through sheer perseverance of the community members, who slaved away day and night for even the slightest hope of saving the site from ruin. Problematic members were persecuted through the gruesome yet affective method of 'PINGING THEM NONSTOP UNTIL THEY POST', thread handlers were hand delivered the most shameful ultimatmu of 'WE'RE ENDING YOUR THREAD REGARDLESS OF ITS STATE BY THE DEADLINE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT', and new members were forced to go through the inhumane trial of 'WE'LL LET YOU KNOW EVENTUALLY WHEN NEW THREADS OPEN BE GOOD NOW AND STOP ASKING ASFDKSLFHDS'. At the end of the day, the town still ended up in ruins and yet, as a new day dawned on the final survivors, they can't help but smile and nod to each other in cheery acknowledgement that they, together, will stay and look after this town until their bones start to rattle from old age. When will the RP ever end? The question has since been buried deep within their wounded hearts, never to be recovered again until a new catastrophe hits.
