Name: Pope Draiman
Gender: Male
Age: 37 (appearance)/ 70 years (Time as Spirit)
Country of Birth: U.S.A.
Personality: Obsessive, manic. He’s completely devoted to his cause, and sees his victims as nothing more than tools for his own ends; morally depraved.
History: Pope Draiman can’t remember much about the life that he’d left behind, but he’s been able to put a few pieces together based on his presence within an abandoned section of Fallbrook, as well as a “guiding hand” to his true destiny: to birth a new Goddess into the world, and bring about a new age of Paradise. This desire persisted well into his original life, where Pope was a religious zealot that believed in a coming prophecy, fortelling a rebirth of the world in the summoning of the true Goddess, who shall bring forth a cleansing flame to wipe away the impurities of the modern age. He accomplished this by following what he believed were Holy Sacraments, sacrifices of human life that represented a resistance against the purities that the True Goddess brought. He had managed to sacrifice 7 people before he was shot and killed by the police, though the devotion to his cause allowed him to remain after death, trapped within the boundaries of the abandoned side of Fallbrook, though he equates this more to being the holy boundaries of the Goddess birthplace.
Current Life: 3 people have been found dead after initial missing person’s reports were filed, the Fallbrook Police finding them scattered amidst the deserted streets of Old Fallbrook, but only by coincidence: The police had discovered a giant hole in the center of the street leading into Old Fallbrook, it’s depth undeterminable. The police have managed to connect the murders to a string from 1882, all committed by a serial killer named Pope Draiman.
Skills: Pope is unwavering in his beliefs, incapable of being persuaded away from his ultimate goal of resurrecting his Goddess. The creatures that enter his nightmare worlds are also imprinted with the goal of the Goddess, and so work towards those ends for Pope.
Weaknesses: An obsessive personality leads to him doing anything to ensure his Goddess revival, even if it costs him his life. Is not adept at fighting.
Appearance: Dirty blonde hair framing a rather thin face, with red rimmed, blue eyes. He wears round lensed glasses, and wears a green raincoat with khaki pants, along with brown boots. His hands are stained black, the exact reason unknown to him though he believes it’s a mark of reverence by his Goddess.
Stand Name: Paradise
Ability: Paradise creates twisted versions of reality from Pope’s nightmarish visions, altering the physical world and creating a separate plane of existence that his victims are present within. The ability is ever present, as the altered reality acts as a separate world from the regular one. However, the only way to enter this world is on behalf of the victim. The altered reality of Paradise interacts with the world through 14 “holes” that it can extend within the town of Fallbrook, appearing anywhere within its limits. The victim must crawl through the hole themselves, and once in Paradise, they are essentially trapped unless they can find another hole outside of the one they entered through. Paradise is composed of separate “zones”, each of which is connected through a metaphysical staircase, with the top floor being where Pope tends to reside, though he can freely move around this world as well. Pope may not exit Paradise, as his spirit is bound to the world his nightmares and delusions have produced, though he believes that with the birth of his Goddess, his power will increase and they will be able to extend Paradise into the “corrupted” realm. Creatures that have wandered through the hole are present within Paradise as well, though strangely they seem to be working with Pope towards the goal of birthing a Goddess, acting on his behalf. Some of the creatures present extend from Pope’s nightmares, appearing alongside physical threats of Fallbrook’s supernatural fauna.
Stand Type: Ability
Power: E
Speed: E
Range: A (All of Fallbrook)
Durability: N/A
Precision: N/A
Learning: E
Appearance: Paradise creates twisted versions of places built entirely from Pope’s nightmares, more often than not taking the shape of dilapidated buildings, desolate forests, churches made from blood soaked iron, and many more.
Example of Power: One of the 14 holes may appear in a victim’s house at random, luring the victim close with sounds and smells from the “zone” it is connected to. Once the victim enters, they will have to reach a new zone to exit through the hole made there, or die at the hands of Pope and the legion of beasts that inhabit Paradise.
